Leadership skills – as Chair of a Council working party I ensure smooth conduct of the WP meetings with a view to achieving common positions. I work closely, guide and coordinate the SECDEFPOL.4 team in charge of topics on the CONOP agenda, as well as other colleagues in EEAS departments contributing to CONOP.
Organizational skills – extensively exercised in my daily activities, given the workload and the necessity to prioritize meetings and urgent issues, which seldom overlap
Negotiations skills: acquired through a long practice from my first experience of tabling a national resolution in the Commission for Narcotic Drugs in Vienna in 2007, further refined during my participation in various negotiations formats: bilateral, as well as multilateral. As a Chair of a Council working party, a big part of my job is to negotiate with MS delegates on topics ranging from the agenda of the meetings to the text of Council conclusions.
Team-work abilities: developed further in my postings in New York and Brussels where the work is mainly a result of excellent cooperation with colleagues from the same unit, but also colleagues from other units, departments and services of the Commission.
