Tobias Gehrke is a growth-oriented business development executive with 25 years of experience in the engineering and consulting business. Based on solid international project implementation experience in the hydropower, water, sanitation and irrigation sector and sound business development activities in the project implementation of power plants he is heading since March 2012 the business development department for the Americas for the Fichtner Group, Germany’s largest independent Consultant. Tobias has secured the leading position of Fichtner Group in IFI funded projects in LatAm and increased considerably the presence of Fichtner in the renewable energies and recently in green hydrogen and green molecules developments with Developers, Investors and Lenders.
From July 2011 until February 2012 he oversaw business development for Eastern Europe and CIS with a mayor focus on IFI funded projects in water and environmental engineering.
Between 2008 and 2011 Tobias supported, after joining the Fichtner group as Business Development Manager, the new founded Fichtner Water& Transportation.
Between 2002 and 2008 Tobias opened as Business Development Manager the market and business portfolio for EWEX-Engineering to international clients in Power Plant Construction Management and Commissioning.
Prior to entering the Business Development Management, Tobias Gehrke worked at CH2MHill and CES as Project Engineer and Project Manager in different countries.
Tobias studied at the TU Carolo Wilhelmina zu Braunschweig and UPC Barcelona and holds a degree in Civil Engineering (Dipl.-Ing.) from the TU Braunschweig.
Tobias is fluent in German, English, Spanish and French.
