Bruno Bosle is the Director for Mobilization & International Partnerships since September 2023. Graduated of both Grenoble Economics School & Political Studies Institute (IEP), Bruno Bosle has then worked in the field of international development for more than 25 years.
From 1998 to 2001, he began his career as Chargé de mission for scientific & technical cooperation at the French Embassy in Vietnam in the fields of law, economics and management.
In 2002, he joined the Union of Industries and Metallurgy Professions (UIMM) of Lyon, where he was Head of the international actions, developing vocational training center projects mainly in Frenchspeaking
Africa (Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, Gabon, Guinea, Mali, Mauritania, Senegal) and South East Asia (China, Indonesia, Laos, Vietnam).
He joined AFD in 2008 as Project Manager in the Education & Training Division. He is then in charge of developing and monitoring a portfolio of vocational training projects, particularly in the context of public / private partnerships.
From 2012 to 2015, he was assigned to Brazzaville AFD office (Republic of Congo) where he was responsible for the implementation of the Debt Reduction and Development Contract mechanism (C2D) as well as the development and monitoring of a portfolio of projects in various sectors: education and vocational training, urban and port infrastructure, health, water / sanitation and energy.
From 2015 to 2019, he was posted to the Jakarta AFD office (Indonesia) as Deputy Director where he focused on infrastructure, marine resources and public policy lending in the areas of public finance, marine biodiversity and sustainable energy.
From 2019 to 2023, he was Country Director for AFD in India where he has developed several initiatives related to the energy transition, sustainable urban development and biodiversity as well as contributed to new partnerships with the financial sector (Greening the Indian Financial System -GIFS) and key think tanks on Indo-Pacific.
